            I am SO excited that I found a flower field right around the corner from my house!  You can't even see the best flowers from the road, so it was even better than I expected!!!

 

And how do you convince a reluctant model to cooperate??? 

You tell her you will take some pics of her with her favorite stuffed animal, of course!

           Olivia and Steven are getting married!!!  Well, I already knew that....but it was a lot of fun to take pictures for their save the date announcements.  It was really windy, but we had a lot of fun trying out some new poses.  Especially the one where Olivia's up in the air.  They are such a sweet couple!  God has really blessed them.  I can hardly wait for their wedding in August!

     Meet Ali, a gorgeous high school senior that I had the privilege to photograph last weekend.  Our session was so much fun!  The session started in Oakleaf and ended in Riverside.  Ali's natural smile showed up beautifully in the pictures, and she was a dream to work with!

{Photography Tip: Fill the Frame | Jacksonville Child Photographer}

          Here's a picture that I snapped of my daughter in our backyard yesterday.

          I was in a hurry, so the image is crooked.  It's January, so there are a bunch of dead vines in the background.  In addition, I wished we had pulled down her shirt to get rid of some of those wrinkles in it.  HOWEVER, I really like her smile.  So I cropped the picture in my editing software, filling the frame with her face.  I tilted the image abit more, adding movement to the picture. 

          Filling the frame with your subject is a great way to put the spotlight on the person--not an unattractive background.  The dimensions of this photo are 4" x 6".  I left some room at the bottom in case I want to print it as an 8" x 10".  In that case, I would lose some of her shirt and the very bottom of her hair, but that is OK.  I really liked the way it turned out!

     This sweet little one is the first child of some dear friends of mine.  I am so happy for them!  She is just as precious as she can be!    She didn't miss a thing during her photo session because she stayed awake the entire time.  The best part was that I got to hold her at the end.  So sweet!

{Meet Juliet | Jacksonville Newborn Photographer}

     Juliet is just five weeks old.  This precious little one has overcome a lot, including a battle with RSV.  She is such a sweetie!  She was so good during our session, and her whole family is just wonderful!

{Not-So-Christmasy Pics | Jacksonville Child Photographer}

     When the mom of these two cuties contacted me about doing a photo session, she requested pictures for Christmas that were not CHRISTMAS pictures.  Immediately, I knew exactly what she meant!  I love the color combo she chose for their clothes--SO cute!  And, while the session took place shortly before Christmas and she is giving prints as Christmas gifts, the photos can be displayed year round.  That's win/win in my book!
